In HP Tuners there is a boolean for setting the Forced induction type to ‘Supercharger Fitted’. In order to do this, you must have wired in the Second IAT sensor. The ECM uses this to determine the density of the air as it goes through the intake system and uses this to calculate the correct air mass.
The ZL1 uses a combo MAP and IAT sensor called the SCIAP sensor, However they do not need to be in the same sensor as long as they are wired in and configured correctly.
There is a parameter I provide that is an IAT2 Enable switch, which enables the IAT2 in certain sections of the ECM. This ive found helped with airmass calculation and Manifold temperature calculations. Is it required?, I dont think so. Does it help, Yes.
